A mid-drive sits at the cranks and can use the bike's gears. A hub sits in the wheel and cannot. A bigger newton-meter number on a hub is still one ratio. This page is the mid-drive list from Fiido and Tenways, not the hill ranking.
This best mid-drive electric bike shortlist uses Fiido and Tenways US pages checked November 2, 2026. At time of writing, in November 2026, the in-stock mid-drive in more than one size is the Fiido Nomads Pro. The Tenways AGO X XL was in stock. The AGO T was sold out. We have not ridden them.
Tenways is running a seasonal campaign on the US site through November 30, 2026. The prices below are the variant prices that day, not a discount we calculated.
The climb, including the Velotric Discover M and its 11–46 cassette, is the steep-hills guide. The mile figures are the touring guide. The belt on the AGO T is the belt-drive guide. The mid-drive hub is this page.
What a mid-drive page has to print
The words mid-drive. The Nomads Pro performance block says a 250W mid-drive and 100 Nm. The AGO X spec page says a Bafang M410, 250W and 80 Nm. The AGO T says an 80 Nm mid-drive. The Nomads, without the Pro, is tagged a rear hub. It is not this list.
A gear the motor can use. The Nomads Pro comparison table prints 40T and 11–36 on a Shimano Cues 9-speed. The AGO X spec page says Shimano 10-speed and does not print tooth counts in the block we use. The AGO T uses an Enviolo stepless hub, not a cassette. A hub with a cassette, including the E26 3.0, still cannot multiply motor torque. That limit is the hills guide.
The battery the price buys. The Nomads Pro at $1,999 is the standard 417.6Wh pack. The extender is a different cart price. The AGO X prints 504Wh and up to 62 miles. The AGO T prints 504Wh and does not print a mile claim.
Fiido Nomads Pro
The Fiido Nomads Pro (opens in a new tab) standard build was $1,999 in M and L, and both were in stock. The compare-at field was $1,539, which is below the selling price, so this is not a discount. The extender was $2,699, with a compare-at of $2,199, and the same problem.
The performance block says a 250W mid-drive and 100 Nm. The comparison table's drivetrain ratio is 40T to 11–36 on a Shimano Cues 9-speed. The battery is 417.6Wh. The comparison table says 46.50 miles. A performance line says 46.51 miles for the single battery and 139.53 miles for the extender. The cart still says 75 km and 225 km. The table keeps 46.50, and that figure is the standard pack. The spec list says 57.8 pounds and a 264.6 pound payload. The comparison table also prints 57.72 and 57.76 pounds, and 264.55 pounds. The cell keeps the spec list. Tires are CST 29 by 2.1 inch. The fork is a 120 mm air spring. That is a front fork, not a rear shock. M is 5 feet 7 inches to 6 feet 3 inches. L is 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 7 inches. The page says IP54. A class number is not printed.
The touring guide uses the same bike for the mile figure. It is here because the motor is a mid-drive.
Tenways AGO X
The Tenways AGO X (opens in a new tab) was $1,899, from $2,499, on November 2, 2026. Ocean Blue XL was in stock. M and L were not. The October 19 cart was $1,999. The spec page still says a Bafang M410 mid-drive, 250W and 80 Nm, up to 62 miles, and CST 29 by 2.25 inch tires. The product blurb says 504Wh. The spec page says 36V 14Ah and does not repeat watt-hours. The table keeps 504Wh. Full weight is 64 pounds. Net weight is 59 pounds. A payload is not printed. Gearing is Shimano 10-speed. The fork is an SR Suntour lockout. Brakes are hydraulic discs. It does not fold. Rider height is not on the spec page. Top speed on the spec page is 20 mph.
A 2.25 inch tire is not a fat tire. The fat-tire guide keeps that distinction.
Tenways AGO T
The Tenways AGO T (opens in a new tab) was $2,699 in Pearl White, Midnight Black, and Jungle Green, and every color was sold out on November 2, 2026. The variant list had no compare-at price. On October 26 the compare-at field had matched $2,699, so that day was not a sale either.
The page prints a Gates carbon belt, an Enviolo stepless hub, an 80 Nm mid-drive, a 504Wh portable battery, an integrated torque sensor, a hydraulic lockout fork, and hydraulic disc brakes. Watts are not printed. Range is not printed. Bike weight, payload, tire size, and a class are not printed. One size is 5 feet 7 inches to 6 feet 5 inches. The page does not say step-through. A stepless hub is not a cassette. The motor is still a mid-drive. The belt guide uses the same sold-out row.

How to read the blanks
- Fiido Nomads Pro. The standard build was $1,999 and in stock in M and L on October 19, 2026. The compare-at field was $1,539, which is below the selling price, so this row does not show a discount. The extender was $2,699, with a compare-at of $2,199, and the same problem.
- Fiido Nomads Pro. The cart label is 75 km for the standard and 225 km for the extender. The comparison table says 46.50 miles. A performance line on November 2 also says 46.51 miles for the single battery and 139.53 miles for the extender. The cell keeps 46.50 because the comparison table and the performance line do not match. The extender mile is not this row's price.
- Fiido Nomads Pro. The spec list says 57.8 lb and 264.6 lb. The comparison table says 57.72 lb and 264.55 lb. The table uses the spec list.
- Fiido Nomads Pro. The drive unit says 250W mid-drive. Torque of 100 Nm is the comparison table's Motor cell. The sensor line is Mivice X700. Fork travel is 120 mm, air spring. A class number is not printed.
- Tenways AGO X. Listed at $1,899, from $2,499, on November 2, 2026. Ocean Blue XL was in stock. Ocean Blue M and L were not. The October 19 cart price was $1,999. Tenways had a seasonal campaign banner on the US site. This row uses the variant price, not a discount we calculated.
- Tenways AGO X. The US spec page prints a Bafang M410 mid-drive as 250W power and 80 Nm. A separate peak watt figure is not printed.
- Tenways AGO X. The product blurb prints 504Wh. The spec page prints 36V 14Ah and does not repeat watt-hours. Those two lines agree if you multiply them, and the table keeps the printed 504Wh.
- Tenways AGO X. Tires on the spec page are CST 29 by 2.25 inch. That is not a fat tire. Net weight is 59 lb. Full weight is 64 lb. The table uses 64. A payload is not printed.
- Tenways AGO X. It does not fold. Rider height and a class number are not on the spec page.
- Tenways AGO T. Pearl White, Midnight Black, and Jungle Green were $2,699 and sold out on October 26, 2026. The compare-at price that day was the same $2,699. On November 2, 2026 every color was still sold out at $2,699, and the variant list had no compare-at price.
- Tenways AGO T. The product page prints a Gates carbon belt, an Enviolo stepless hub, an 80 Nm mid-drive, a 504Wh portable battery, an integrated torque sensor, a hydraulic lockout fork, and hydraulic disc brakes.
- Tenways AGO T. Watts, claimed range, bike weight, payload, tire size, and a class number are not printed. One size is listed for riders from 5 feet 7 inches to 6 feet 5 inches. The page does not say step-through.
A dash is a figure the page left out, or a figure two lines would not settle. The Nomads Pro range cell is the comparison table's 46.50, not the extender. The AGO T range and weight dashes are unpublished. The AGO X payload dash is unpublished. Its battery cell is the printed 504Wh.
How to choose without a test ride
If you can order a mid-drive in M or L this week, the Nomads Pro is the row, and 417.6Wh is the pack that $1,999 buys. If you want 62 miles and a 29 by 2.25 inch tire, and XL fits, the AGO X is the row that was in stock. If you want a belt and a stepless hub, the AGO T is the row, at $2,699 and sold out, with no mile claim. The Discover M's 11–46 cassette is the hills guide. It is not a button on this page.
Accessories
A mid-drive still needs a helmet, lights, and a lock. A phone mount is useful on a long ride and is not a spec. We have not tested these on these bikes.

What we are not saying
Three mid-drives from two brands, not every mid-drive. We are not ranking by commission. The Nomads Pro is first because it was in stock in two sizes and the page prints 100 Nm and a 9-speed. The AGO X is the mile claim. The AGO T is the belt, and it was empty. Cargo mid-drives, including the T3 Max, are the cargo guide and the dual-battery guide. The Engwe Eagle is a mid-drive dirt bike with 14 inch and 12 inch wheels. It is not this list.
