Affiliate disclosure

eBike Research is reader-supported in part by affiliate links. If you buy through a link on this site, we may earn a commission from the brand or its affiliate network. You do not pay a higher price because of that.

The Federal Trade Commission expects that relationship to be obvious before you click. Every guide puts a short disclosure above the first product link. This page is linked from the footer of every page.

Product links use rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" and open in a new tab. Until a program approves this site, the link is the manufacturer's normal product page, not a tracking URL. Replacing that URL is a one-line change in the affiliate config. It does not change the article.

Brands discussed in the current guides are Ride1Up (in-house program), Aventon (AvantLink), Velotric (Impact; the brand has also been listed on AvantLink), and Lectric (Impact). Approval is not the same as a recommendation. A bike can be in a guide because its published payload or torque fits the question, including when its price is higher.

We do not accept payment for a ranking, and we have not test-ridden the bikes. Prices are checked against the manufacturer page and dated in the guide. A sale price can change the day after that check.
